TTG Travel Hall of Fame 2016 Singapore Changi Airport

Singapore Changi Airport

What has your company done in the past year to remain a top performer in your sector, and top of mind among your customers?

Singapore Changi Airport always endeavours to deliver a memorable experience to all our passengers. This includes building infrastructure that supports efficient airport processes, as well as creating a stress-free environment and positively surprising moments for passengers.

What motivates you and your team to excel in all that you do?

Singapore Changi Airport always builds ahead for future capacity. These are exciting times as we are actively working on a number of major infrastructure projects. The first of our three big infrastructure projects to be ready is Terminal 4 which will turn operational in the second half of 2017. This will be followed by Jewel Changi Airport, a mix-use development, in early 2019. Terminal 5 is slated to be completed in the second half of the 2020s.

What advice would you give to the next generation of tourism professionals who desire success in this trade?

You need an excellent product – something that works, is of a high standard and that customers enjoy. If you get the travel experience right, word of mouth follows and a strong brand becomes stronger. – Jayson Goh, managing director, airport operations management, Changi Airport Group
