What does this award mean to you and who would you like to share it with?
SilkAir is certainly honoured to receive the award again this year. Being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2010 was definitely a significant milestone for the airline, as it was recognition from the trade of our consistency in delivering a high level of service and product. It also served as a validation of the hard work and dedication of our staff.
We also recognise that to be voted Best Regional Airline for 10 years to deserve this major award would definitely not have been possible without the support of our loyal customers and industry partners. Thus it is only befitting that we share this win with them.
What would you like to say to travel experts who voted you as the best?
Definitely a big thank you, and that we truly appreciate their belief and confidence in SilkAir. This will serve as a reminder for us to keep on improving our products and services, which includes our network, schedules, sales and cabin service, to exceed customers’ expectations – a big challenge in this dynamic and intensely competitive industry.
What must travel experts do to be even more valuable to you?
As our partners, the travel trade plays a very important role in complementing our services. We hope that they can evolve alongside us, to cater to a more sophisticated travel audience who are better informed, resourceful and have a wider variety of travelling needs.
It would be ideal if travel consultants can anticipate and meet our customers’ needs, more specifically developing new tour packages that can provide additional options to consumers beyond the traditional offerings that have dominated the market for many years.
