What has your company done in the past year to remain a top performer in your sector, and top of mind among your customers?
We have divested parts of the business and are reinvesting into our core competencies moving into 2017. A lot of the focus is based on further enhancing our customer service offering for both online and offline consumers. Similarly, we will be offering more and relevant value-add services to customers at attractive rates, after undergoing an extensive customer survey and review exercise.
What motivates you and your team to excel in all that you do?
Hertz has undergone tremendous change in the last two years. However, the common thought that exists in the midst of this transformation is what actions need to be taken to reimagine Hertz five, 10 and 20 years into the future. Hertz is now buzzing with excitement with the new opportunities and horizons possible under the new management and direction.
What advice would you give to the next generation of tourism professionals who desire success in this trade?
The foremost attribute would be the passion that one has for the industry, not just the job. This is the sustaining element that ensures longevity in any business. Determination and persistence must be part of your DNA as this is an industry that will frequently challenge you to the breaking point.
