TTG Travel Hall of Fame 2010 Star Cruises

Star Cruises

Which is harder, to get to the top or to stay on top? Why?
It is much harder to stay on top and remain market leader as competitors are always there to challenge us. It is like being a great sports star; it is always difficult to remain number 1.

Name one innovation we can expect from you in 2011.
We will be offering a new itinerary with the SuperStar Libra homeport in Penang calling into Krabi and Phuket in February 2011. Star Cruises is always exploring exciting and new destinations for our agents and guests.

As agents had voted for you, what would you do to win more business from them?
We believe our new itineraries will create more exciting products for them to offer to their guests. Additionally in 2011, we will reposition our existing ships to stimulate some of our established markets – SuperStar Aquarius will replace SuperStar Libra in Taiwan, Star Pisces will be back in Hong Kong and SuperStar Libra will be in Penang.

If you have one burning message for travel agents, what would that be?
Our message to agents is to not underestimate the growth of cruise tourism and also the great value that cruise vacation offers customers.

How did you go about celebrating the win?
We did not celebrate, as we are busy defending our leading position in Asia.
